Commercial and residential consumers of electricity are encouraged to participate in BVI Electricity Corporation’s energy conservation challenge.
Commercial consumers will be given one week, from June 1 to 8, to conserve as much energy as possible and the establishment with the most power conserved will be crowned the winner. Similarly, the residential competition will run from June 1 to 29 and consumers will be given a month to implement as many energy conservation practices as they can.
The BVIEC is going to compare what persons conserved during this period to what they typically would have used for that month.” The commercial and residential consumer with the most savings will each win a new IPAD. The winning business will also receive a certificate which they will be able to display in their organisation.
Interested persons are encouraged to visit BVIEC’s website at www.bvielectricity.com, or contact their offices at 494-3911 or Mr. Leroy Abraham at 541-4114 to register. Registration ends on Tuesday, May 29.
