The Rotary Club of Tortola President, Lorna Smith, along with many members of her Club, attended the 37th District Conference (District 7020) which was held at the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort, St Thomas, USVI from April 12 – 16 hosted by District Governor Diana White.

Rotarians from Bahamas, Cayman, Haiti, Jamaica, St Maarten, just to name a few which makes up District 7020, along with Guests, Exchange Students and Others, participated in the week filled activities.

Activities stemmed from inspirational speakers, leadership sessions, fellowship and entertainment, all in keeping with the conference theme.

Throughout the Conference Awards were presented of which the Rotary Club of Tortola achieved the District Governor’s highest award for Service Excellence, Platinum. The Club is also the proud recipient of other awards, such as Health and Hunger, Zone Literacy, Service and Emphases.

President Lorna said, “the Conference was an inspirational celebration and an opportunity to enjoy fellowship at the same time” she went on to say that she was proud of her Club’s achievements and that her members are committed to advance the objectives of Rotary.”
