A boat operated by Smith’s Ferry encountered tough times at sea late this afternoon, and was forced to head to Spanish Town in Virgin Gorda.
The vessel called Daphne Elise was on its way from Anegada when it started taking on water. The incident did not cause injury to any passenger or crew member.

Delusional ppl bur the end of the world….my gosh ppl get a clue you should be praying all the time not only now cause things happening dear god bless this ppl who really need you amen
someone is sabotaging those boats, surveillance cameras needed at the dockage points. its more than just coincidental, two of rtff and now sf; then who is next.
No one is sabotaging nothing. These boat owners need to invest money into their vessels. Take them off the run and do the major repairs that they know are needed instead of wanting to pocket all the money and put people’s lives at risk.
The government also needs to enforce the laws instead of letting things slip through the cracks because of who you are and who you related to.
This could’ve been a lot worse and what would you tell the families “sorry” because you don’t want to fix your boats & the govt renews your licenses knowing that things need to be done.
Let’s do things the correct way and enforce laws. Life should be the most important thing.
RIGHT ON THE POINT!!!! At lease someone has common sense. I’ve been saying this for the longest time, these ferry owners are running these boats like horse with very little maintainance and dont expect that one day such things will happen. Everyday is a different issue with ferry service, you cant even plan a day trip beacause of disruptions. I heard a ferry worker once said ” if you have to do anything before 11AM, SLEEP OVER the night before” and thats wrong!!!! We pay our money for poor service. Dont talk about the reckless/careless crew members, after my last experience a few weeks ago i am even scared to board a ferry.
And hell yes, the Government need to step in and pull up thier sucks with these companies. People lives are are risk!!!
but these are the ferries you all were complementing some days ago saying we dont need an airport. now you see kedrick and his government know what they talking about. imagine tourists trying to get here and have to deal with that s. its embarassing. sen on the airport please.
Judging from what I have have been observing it is reasonable to assume that this boat was attempting to give itself a bath. It was attempting to help itself.
Idiot!!!!!
wondering if 2go jost van dyke still
They need to revoke some licence. Messing up the CleanHole area. Full of oil and smut now. boats ever working. Boats always smoking and running on one engine. Ira always getting saved by government.
Yes true more coming
its the end of the worldddd guys quick everyone run like hell
Signs of the time…
It’s a good thing everything is ok, so much things happening coming to the close of the year.
I agree with you Concern Citizen this is the first time i have sen so much things happening in the last Month of the year…with just over two weeks to go we need to seriously pray……something is seriously going wrong in the B.V.I
