Softball Results 23/07/10 – 25/07/10

The Playoffs in the Raymon Jackson Smith Memorial Softball League began on Friday, 23 July, 2010.The female Segment is a best of three series and the male segment is a best of five Series.

23/07/10

Hurricanes defeated Fryers 9-2. Hurricanes had 9 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors and left 4 runners on base. Fryers had 2 runs, 3 hits, 1 error and left 4 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Neville Smith and the loser was Tishawn Henley. Brent Herbert of Hurricanes was 3-4 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in and Cedric Smith was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 run batted in.

East Invaders defeated Reds 10-1. Invaders had 10 runs, 9 hits, 2 errors and left 4 runners on base. Reds had 1 run, 4 hits, 2 errors and left 5 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Allen Smith and the loser was Dariel Robinson. Mahal DeCastro of Invaders was 3-3 with 3 runs scored and 2 runs batted in.

Crushers failed to field a team and forfeited to Amazons.

Hawks failed to field a team and forfeited to Rams.

East Invaders defeated Reds 12-10 to take a 2 games to none lead in their Playoffs series. The winning pitcher was Allen Smith in relief of Nikos Penn and the loser was Elwyn Barry in relief of Jason Fonseca. Nikos Penn of Invaders was 3-4 with a triple, 2 home runs, 3 runs scored and 3 runs batted in and Nateshan Thomas was 3-4 with a triple a home run 2 runs scored and 4 runs batted in. Richard Clendenin of Reds was 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 4 runs batted in and Byron Hodge was 2-3 with 4 runs scored and a run batted in.

Hurricanes defeated Fryers 12-3 to take a 2 games to none lead in their playoffs series. Hurricanes had 12 runs, 9 hits, 3 errors and left 5 runners on base. Fryers had 3 runs, 2 hits, 4 errors and left 8 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Neville Smith with relief help from Roy Hill and the loser was Reynold Corum. Brent Herbert, Sylvester Johnson and Byron Parsons each had 2 hits and combined to score 5 runs. Parsons had the only home run of the game.

    This is a height of nonsense. How can they put crushers failed to present a team when the amazons themselves didn’t have a team. What kind of foolishness is that. year after year softball the standard of soft ball is dropping because of these onesided stuff.

    The game was schedule for seven pm. the change it to 4pm. players of crushers team knew about this time when it was almost six oclock. my god how on earth can these things happen if they are not willfull acts. if you change the time of a game the coach and captain must be informed so that they can inform the rest of their team. I think these things need to stop.
