Senior officers of the Solid Waste Department recently visited with students of the Grade 5 Class of the Cedar School to share more about solid waste management in the Virgin Islands.
The team discussed concepts of Recycling, Reducing and Reusing, as well as the effects of pollution on the environment.
Students interacted with Senior Executive Officer Neville Allen, as he answered questions pertaining to the operation of the Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator Plant.
Allen was accompanied by the department’s Waste Education Officer Nadia James Lord.
