The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College and the New England Institute of Technology will be hosting a joint Open House on Tuesday 25 January and Thursday 27 January to help students in the British Virgin Islands learn more about opportunities available at the overseas institution.
The Open House will be hosted in the Faculty Lounge at the College’s Paraquita Bay Campus, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. over the two days.
Director of International Admissions at NEIT Mark Seltzer will be on hand to speak with interested students and answer questions about programme offerings at the institution. He will also be able to set up individual meetings with students if they so desire.
In particular, the Open House is aimed at making information available to students in Management and Information Technology who may be interested in pursuing further studies toward earning Bachelor’s Degrees.
Application forms, brochures and other information about NEIT’s programme offerings will also be readily available.
HLSCC signed an articulation agreement with the New England Institute of Technology in August 2010––the first ever joint admission programme between the two institutions.
The agreement seeks to streamline the movement of students from the College’s Business Administration Associate Degree in Science to the NEIT Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management Technology.
NEIT is a private non-profit technical college with an enrollment of more than 3,300 students in over 30 Associate, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programmes. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc.
For more information, students may call Mr. Seltzer at the Treasure Isle Hotel, 494-2501.
