In celebration of Senior Citizens Month 2011, the Social Development Department is inviting the public to Taste of the BVI, an annual food fair showcasing local Virgin Islands cuisine on Friday, May 20, at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action
Movement Park.
The Taste of the BVI will commence at 10:00am and will end at 2:00pm.
Among other food items, the menu will feature local dishes such as corned pork, dove pork and beef stew, as well as local pastries such as cassava bread and a variety of tarts.
Samples of dishes will also be available.
Additionally, patrons will be able to have blood pressure checks and blood sugar screens compliments of the BVI Diabetes Association.
