Dry and stable weather conditions prevailed  across the British Virgin Islands this morning.
However, later this evening a tropical wave moving into the area will increase the instability of the atmosphere and the chances of showers over the area.
This evening and tonight will be cloudy to overcast with numerous showers and thunderstorms.
Winds are expected to be ENE at 14-22kts over land and reaching near 24kts over open waters.
Some gusts in showers are also likely. Seas will be  rough 1.8-2.4m or 6-8ft.
A small craft advisory remains in effect for above normal seas.
The DDM is monitoring the weather conditions and will advise the public accordingly.
If showers persist an update maybe required for a Flash Flood Watch or Warning.
