UPDATE: Tropical Storm Isaac moving through the Virgin Islands

11:00PM – Tropical Storm Isaac is located near 15.8N/63.0W, or 495 miles east-southeast of the Dominican Republic. It is moving to the west at 20 mph.
Heavy squalls will continue for the Lesser Antilles throughout the next 24 hours. New data from a recon plane indicates that Isaac remains a very marginal tropical storm with winds of about 40 mph. Some gradual intensification is expected during the next couple of days. However, Isaac is no longer forecast to be a hurricane when it makes landfall on Hispaniola .
The Antigua Government has lifted the hurricane watch for the British Virgin Islands however the Tropical Storm Warning is still in place. Residents are urged to monitor the weather conditions as the territory may experience Squalls with wind gusts in excess of 55 to 65mph in addition to heavy rainfall.
