U.S. Presbyterian church and homosexuality

I find it sad that the U.S. Presbyterian church has seen fit to pervert the World of God by accepting practising homosexual ministers.
The Bible clearly and unequivocally condemns homosexual acts (Gen 1:27-28; Gen 2:24; Matt 19: 4-6; Rom 1:24-27; 1 Cor 6:10; 1 Tim 1:10 etc.). Homosexual acts contrary to the natural law.
They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity.
There is also no scientific evidence to confirm homosexual activity as a normal behavior. Dr. Francis Collins, who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work sequencing the human genetic code has proven that homosexuality is not genetically “hardwired.”
No scientific study has found a gay gene, gay DNA, or gay center of the brain. Sexual orientation is ultimately a matter of self-affirmation and public declaration. Many African-Americans have come out of homosexuality, proving sexual orientation can change.
St. Paul tells us that the “aberration” of homosexuality is both the proof and the result of the exclusion of God from collective attention and social life.
The Christian approach to modern-day homosexuality must distinguish between the respect due to persons and the necessary repudiation of any exalted ideology of homosexuality.

This is my opinion: Why are you bashing the gays in the presbyterian church when the priests in the catholic church have been committing fornication and child molestation for years? Next time if you have the balls why don’t you write about that.
I have gone to catholic schools, graduated from catholic Universities, gone to catholic churches even though I am not of the catholic faith.
Jesus said, He that is without sin, let him cast the first stone. He also said, neither do I condemn you go and sin no more.
Who the hell are you? I am not gay/lesbian but I know many who are kind, respectful, loving and would give the shirt off their back to help someone in need. God created them just like he created you and me who call ourselves “straight”.
At the end of the day we are no better than they are. When we die we all will return to the dust and eventually the worms will have a field day with our carcas.
Remember what Jesus said, Neither do I condemn you.,,, Jesus died for the gays/lesbian, straight, black, whilte, yellow, brown, you included.

Steve 660 also goes by the name of Dr. Stephen Moreton. His latest attack against Kokoski was printed in the May 13 letter to the Jamaica Observer called “Hypocricy”. It seems this fellow goes by various names seeking to destroy people around the world. He is obsessed with Kokoski – no doubt because he is moral. He has also posted against KOKOSKI on the DOMINCAN WEB SITE
He is not a doctor but is need of one. He seems sadly derranged and bent on hatred. All his claims in favor of the perversion of homosexuality are false.

Kokoski is lying, there is no polite way of saying it, he is lying. The claim that people have “come out of homosexuality” is more garbage, this time from the discredited “ex-gay” movement. The “ex-gays” and their supporters have never produced a scrap of scientific evidence that they were gay to begin with, or straight afterwards. No MRI scans, no erectile response measurements, no objective proof of any sort. Just stories. And then there are the ex-ex-gays who have been through the whole charade and admitted it is all a scam and they were gay all along. And what on earth does he mean by “natural law”? Homosexuality is widespread in nature and does not violate any natural laws I know of.

All it took was Google, a few clicks, and a minute. I must give you credit Steve. You are better than me for posting this response. You are right on. To those who have fallen into his nonsense because you may see yourselves as Christians, I would urge you to do your own research, put your religious views on hold for a minute, and then make an informed decision as to who this person is based on what you discover about him. I said before, he has a large footprint on the net, so you have plenty of material to draw a conclusion from. Again, there is not a Letter to the Editor space that Mr. Kokoski does not like.

Yes sin is sin and an abomination is an abomination. God is the judge so will not cast stones to codemn anyone. When a man sins he is already condemned by his own sin because the wages of sin is death. Whether we want to make an excuse for our own sin or point fingers at someone else’s sin instead, guess what we would end up in the same boat, “Sinner in need of a saviour”. God is love, he hates sin and wickedness but loves the sinner. God will judge sin.

Loving someone does not mean that you have to agree with their lifestyle or wrong doing and not being in agreement with someone does not have to make us hateful.

The bible also says that if a person is rude to their parents they should be killed and that if a virgin is raped she should be married to the rapist. In other words the bible talks a whole lot of codswallop and should be regarded as the fairytale that it is and not taken seriously.

Read it properly and not just the passages that you want to read then maybe you will understand of the horros contained within. At least you didn’t quote Leviticus. Because unlike you I CAN READ, and COMPREHEND. Leviticus 11:10 in my KJV Bible states: “And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you” – this refers to that shrimp and lobster we Caribbean people love to eat. However, this part of the verse about abomination is always conveniently left out when people like you push your agenda.
We must STOP being selective of what in the Bible we should apply to everyday life. We take homosexuality and run wild with it condemning homosexuals, BUT right there in the same book of Leviticus it speaks of eating shellfish, eating swine/pig, using two types of material in clothing; all which the bible classifies as ABOMINATIONS, yet these are not taken seriously.
I urge my fellow BVIslanders, to take a long look at the evidence presented today and reevaluate your thoughts about homosexuality. If you are still against it, you are nothing more but a HYPOCRITE and bigot just like Paul Kokoski!

Are we really willing to put our heads on the block and argue over and over based on someone’s ‘version’ of things? We don’t do this in our normal daily lives so why when it comes to Religion? You support abortion and believe that everyone can go around taking the law into their own hands to avenge murder. You would make a good Special Forces guy. So who are these many African-Americans that have “come out of homosexuality?” Please name one. Does it mean that they are celibate now or that they have decided to have sex with the opposite sex? Did they originally “go into” homosexuality? I have met many gay men and women and for them being gay has not been a choice, but something they felt as part of their sense of being. I notice you have quoted the Bible to justify your prejudices, but didn’t God promise he would love ALL his children? In the Bible it also says thou shalt not commit adultery, but from what I have heard there are quite a few of our church leaders here in the BVI who are or have been cheating on their wives. And their churches are still full!
@Not a homophobe, God did promise he would love all his children if they obey and keep his commandments. Yahshuah(Jesus) clearly stated to his disciples, “if you love me keep my commandments. If we really say we love someone we have to be willing to correct them and we ourselves need to take the correction with the same love. God made man and a help meet which is called woman. He did not make a mistake and never will. He did state in the book of Deuteronomy 28 if his people do not keep his statutes, judgements, ordinances and commandments they will be cursed, and if they do keep them they will be blessed. Many people do indeed use scriptures to justify a topic and it is not judgemental to do so. When someone uses scripture it is not their words but the word of God judging you. So if there is a conviction in you then it is up to you to seek refuge in GOD. Yahshuah said I am the truth the way and the life. If God is for life (and the first commandment to man and animals is to be fruitful and multiply), then lying with the same sex is Anti-GOD and it is an abomination in his sight, because it is also anti life. Not because thing are allowed today makes it right. The real truth always hurts when it is contrary to the way of life today. Because truth is not practiced today by the majority, this is the reason for confusion and diseases. There is a spirit ruling the world today and it is anti-God and Yashuah said he had to leave because the “prince of the world commeth”. Paul called him the “prince of the air’. We know that to be satan.
The subject of homosexuality is always a debate topic because people feel that they can live however they choose. But all choices have consequences and doing what we feel is not always doing what is right. For one might feel like doing good today and feel another way an hour later. Being good comes with practice and so is doing good and what is right.
Whether sinner of righteous we all need prayer and fasting(a sacrifice for our prayer) so that the GOD of truth Yashuah will keep us in the light and not the darkness. In these times we cannot look to man for our salvation for Christ is our salvation

I have been studing homosexual behaviour for many years and I can tell you that homosexuality is definitely a choice. I have worked with many gay people and helped them go straight. Society is bombarded today with the message the homosexuality is a good thing and so a lot of people think it may be right for them. They start to experiment and soon become sexual perverts without even being aware of it. That’s where i come in. Of course I can only help those who want help. They are like alcoholics – some do not want the help and so they remain alcoholics – but that does not mean it is in our nature get to drunk every night.
Realize too that God loves all men but he hates sin. He abhors it. Sin cost God his Life on earth when Jesus went to the Cross for all men even queers. Adultery is also wrong as is masturbation and other perverted sex acts. Let me know if you need help. I have the cure.
