Monday, June 25 – An American male visitor was pronounced dead at Peebles Hospital this afternoon after experiencing apparent difficulties while in the water near Sandy Pit.
The deceased, 65, and his wife of Virginia, USA were diving with a local dive company around 10:30am this morning when he alerted others in the group that he was experiencing difficulties. He was assisted to the surface but by then was unresponsive.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until his family overseas has been notified.
The couple had been staying on Jost Van Dyke since Friday (June 22).
Police continue their investigations into incident.

Wow I think here in the obvious they should let tourists n other visiters stop diving at a certain age
