Vehicle Licensing Department reminder to taxi operators

The Vehicle Licensing Department is reminding taxi operators that in accordance with the amendment to the Road Traffic Act, the new graphic plates are to be used on all taxi vehicles effective 15th August, 2010. Taxi operators are advised to visit the Vehicle Licensing Department before 15th November, 2010 to obtain new plates. The cost of the plates is $25.00 per pair.
Ordering the plates by 15 November, 2010 will ensure that Taxi Operators are in possession of the new plates before the deadline, after which the black and white plates will not be recognized.
