VG Festival prince and princess pageant set for this weekend

Virgin Gorda’s future legends are ready to shine as they vie for the titles of Prince & Princess 2011!
Kaori Bascombe, 8 , Kenrick Stevens, 10, and Jahdique Winchester, 8 will go after for the title of Prince.
Shanique Isaac, 9, Kimberly Barry, 10 and Ayana McQueen, 9, compete to capture the Princess’ crown and sceptre!
Under this year’s Easter Festival theme, “A journey with legends of the past, infusing VG festival 2011 with class”, the six youngsters will compete individually in introduction, career wear, talent and evening wear segments.
The pageant takes place on Sunday, April 10 at 4:00 pm at the Catholic Community Centre in the Valley, Virgin Gorda.
Tickets are available for purchase from committee members and Rosy’s Supermarket at $15 per adult and $10 per child.
Siobhan Flax, Public Relations Officer for the Virgin Gorda Festival Pageant Committee invites the public to the Prince and Princess Pageant.
“This exciting family event is not to be missed. Come out and support our youth and get in that lively Festival spirit,” she said.
