A 16-year-old male from Cane Garden Bay on Tortola has been arrested and charged in relation to the theft of a scooter in the said community.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in its weekly Arrest Blotter, said the youngster was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety.

He is to appear in the Magistrate’s Court on May 25.

Reports reaching BVI News Online are that the youngster was arrested following investigation into a resident’s complaint that a black Vento scooter apparently was stolen recently from her property overnight.

Police reportedly found parts from the missing scooter on a property owned by the alleged offender’s father. The alleged offender is not being named here because he is not yet an adult.
