Police arrested and charged roughly 10 persons between February 25 and March 3 for a number of offences.
These include serious criminal offences such as murder, wounding, and less serious traffic offences, among other things.
In its latest arrest blotter, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force listed those persons and charges as follows:
On March 2, police arrested and charged Maybelline Rodriquez, a native of Dominican Republic residing in Huntums Ghut for murder. She appeared before the Magistrate’s Court this week and was remanded.
Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
On February 27, police arrested and charged 30-year-old Delwin Percival of Fort Hill for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police also arrested Mitchell Brewley of Fahie Hill on the same day for a similar offence.
Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Kyle Baronville of Sea Cows Bay for wounding. He was arrested on February 28.
Unlawful possession of cannabis
Police also arrested 28-year-old Dillon Thomas on that date. He is charged with unlawful possession of cannabis. He was granted $5,000 police bail and will appear before the Magistrate’s Court on April 26.
Police arrested and charged 30-year-old Sayied Scatliffe of Lower Estate on March 1 for unlawful possession of cannabis.
Thirty-three-year-old native of St Vincent, Uvraney Grant and 19-year-old Jamaican, Jefferine Morrison were charged with theft on March 1. Grant is a resident of Long Trench while Morrison resides in Vanterpool Estate.
On February 28, police arrested and charged 20-year-old Azim Yonnas of Butu Mountain for driving without a driver’s Licence, driving without a policy of insurance, driving without front identification plate, and reckless driving.
On February 19, police arrested and charged Shakeilla Turnbull of Long Trench for driving without a driver’s license, driving without insurance, and driving an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle. She was also charged in relation to tinted windows and was granted $5,000 bail.
She is scheduled to appear in Magistrate’s Court on June 4.
