A female auxiliary police officer was treated at Peebles Hospital today after a motorist allegedly ran a vehicle over one of her feet while she was on duty at Paraquita Bay, Tortola.

Details of the incident are still sketchy.

But BVI News Online can report that the motorist, who also operates a laundry, became upset while the auxiliary officer was issuing him a ticket.

He allegedly grabbed the ticket from the officer and was speeding away when his vehicle ran on one of the auxiliary officer’s feet.

The motorist was later arrested and brought to the Road Town Police Station. He is expected to be charged.
