Branson Centre calls for mentors

On March 1, 2016, Richard Branson launched the Branson Centre of
Entrepreneurship in the BVI. The Centre provides invaluable training and support to its
entrepreneurs.

PRESS RELEASE – The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship – Caribbean (BCoEC) powered by KPMG (BVI) is calling on top professionals and successful entrepreneurs within various industries in the Virgin Islands to participate in its mentorship programme.

The Centre is looking for experienced entrepreneurs and executives to join its network of leading Caribbean and international business mentors.

The mentorship programme provides the opportunity for entrepreneurs and professionals to provide crucial support that guides budding entrepreneurs while also providing a rewarding give-back opportunity.

Debbie Bell, Manager of BCoEC in the BVI said the Centre is seeking to partner with professionals in the Territory to provide mentorship, strategic coaching and professional services to its vetted pool of high-potential entrepreneurs.

“We really want to ensure our entrepreneurs have every opportunity to succeed, so we are actively seeking to enlist leaders in various fields to be mentors and help advise our entrepreneurs. The best thing of all is that it is a win-win for both the mentor and the mentee.

Our mentors tell us time and time again that, aside from the reward of giving back, they also gain a lot of inspiration from the entrepreneurs they support, as well as new insights and innovative ideas for their own businesses.”

BCoEC provides structure and facilitates the relationships in a pro-active and supportive way that ensures both parties receive value.

Branson Centre Official Entrepreneurs who have successfully completed the online training and achieved BCoEC’s minimum standard have access to a full suite of services, including;
coaching, mentorship, pro bono professional services, media exposure, networking events and access to a community of like-minded entrepreneurs.

In addition, they are charged with actively supporting the development of an active entrepreneurial space for other entrepreneurs in the Territory.

BCoEC in the BVI started in March 2016 and has since onboarded 12 resident entrepreneurs.

Recruitment for the third cohort has begun and will continue until March 27. Training will kick off on April 3 until June 30 for the 12-week programme.

Interested entrepreneurs are being encouraged to register on the website www.bransoncentre.co/bvi. The virtual training platform that has been developed by BCoEC and its partner, Virgin Unite, takes entrepreneurs through various aspects of business development.
