Man allegedly masturbates in front little daughter

A man accused of making several sexual advances, including masturbating in front his daughter who is now 12-year-old, has been granted bail in the Magistrate’s Court.

The 39-year-old accused is charged with indecent assault.

The child now lives with her grandmother.

Allegations outlined by the prosecution are that the grandmother sent the 12-year-old and her siblings on an errand.

While on the errand, the child’s siblings discovered certain information on the child’s mobile device and informed the grandmother.

When the grandmother asked the child about it, she responded: “Nobody ever know what happen to me.”

The child then elaborated on the sexual encounters she allegedly had with her biological father.

The police were subsequently informed.

During an interview with law enforcers, the 12-year-old alleged that, in 2015, her father conducted multiple sexual activities with her.

During the first encounter, the child said she was at home when her father ‘exposed himself’ to her.

The child further told police that, during the second encounter on a different day, she returned home and asked her father for ‘snack money’.

The court was told that the accused father exposed himself to the child again.

On that second occasion, he allegedly invited his daughter into his bedroom and masturbated in front of her.

Allegedly puts penis on child’s leg

The child reportedly told police that there was a third encounter. She reported that she was asleep at home when she was awakened by something ‘wet’ running on her leg.

The 12-year-old told police that she later realized her father was rubbing his penis on her leg.

When the youngster asked her father what he was allegedly doing, he responded and then left the room.

The father was taken into police custody on February 22 this year.

Though the prosecution objected to bail, Magistrate Ayanna Baptiste-DaBreo offered the accused $60,000 bail.

Magistrate Baptiste-DaBreo however ordered the father to pay $10,000 cash upfront if he is to be released on bail.

He was further told to have ‘absolutely no contact’ with his daughter.

The magistrate also told the accused that, if the minor makes contact with him, he should report it to the police immediately.

The father, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the child, was also told to surrender his travel documents and report to the Road Town Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between 6am and 6pm.

He is scheduled to return to court on April 27.
