Public servants are being reminded to get emotional and psychological assistance.
Deputy Governor Rosalie Adams has urged government workers to ensure they are of good psychological and emotional health in light of the September hurricanes.
“Public officers and department heads who have not yet done so [should] schedule and attend a Project Uplift Group or individual support session to see to their emotional wellbeing,” Adams said.
“This is an avenue of psycho-social support during the territory’s recovery process and a place to embrace your emotions, share your story of thanksgiving, and gain insight into adjusting to the ‘new normal’,” she explained.
According to health authorities, the devastation caused by the hurricanes can push persons in a state of mental or emotional trauma.
Numerous residents lost their homes, property, and their livelihoods as a result of the catastrophic weather events this year.
