  1. Poor says:

This is a complete reflection of our judicial and prison systems right here. Why should they not do these things even in prison when the consequences they bear for much more serious crimes they face before is a joke.

  2. Give them HARD labour says:

Our sentencing laws need to change…they need to be modernised to reflect our reality…and in some cases…we need to bring back some of the former sentences….

Please re-instate HARD LABOUR…or if it is there…please START giving these types of sentences…these young fellows need to know what work is…stop giving them pay for that work…let it go into the consolidated fund for the prison to feed, clothe and house them…so that Balsum Ghut would be seen as a dreaded place as opposed to a hotel stay

    • Lyricist says:

Yea…I consign you…start with call woo who???? get found guilty for grabbing a man car key…..and was only given a slap on the wrist ….and here right now giving man tickets oN the round aboUt ….like all of us didn’t go tru the worst hurricane together……
But otherwise…both these alleged wrongdoers in question need to be sent away…..let them know what real time looks like

  5. Mysterious says:

  6. How? says:

How they getting the drugs in prison? Staff members, through the fence and family members.sad to say but that is not a prison it is a hotel for criminals.

  7. Saddened from afar says:

This is an embarrassment on many levels. The fact that they were in possession of contrabands with the intent to sell, screams: very poor screening system of visitors and possible involvement of prison employees. Institute strip searching of all visitors (I realize it’s a far-fetch proposal). Clearly there is a high probability that corruption exist amongst the prison personnel. Terminate all of them and start anew with “outsiders.”

  8. local says:

Having illegal stuff(drugs) in prison is not unique to BVI, that happens world wide. The problem is that regular searches must be done and person charged when found.searches should be done on the officers as well.when i speak of illegal stuff i dont mean like Tvs etc.(big stuff)-mainly drugs and cellphones and weapons are found.Prison officers are bought by criminals and once it starts they cant change back

  9. Tola people is fruad!!! says:
