The motorist who police allegedly caught stealing groceries from Bobby’s supermarket in Road Town has been charged with theft.

He is Myron Rubaine, who is said to be a Horsepath resident.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) listed the accused man’s name and charge in its weekly Arrest Blotter, but did not give details of the incident.

However, as was reported here last week, police officers were on patrol in the vicinity of the supermarket on March 27.

They saw a motorist allegedly loading boxes of groceries into a vehicle parked at the back of the supermarket, which is an open area close to where DeCastro Street meets the round-about in Road Town.

The motorist’s actions aroused the suspicion of the cops. They then accosted the motorist.

Following investigations, the motorist was arrested and charged.
