PRESS RELEASE: One Love FC has been bumped to the top of the points table and now shares that spot with Sugar Boys FC.

One Love climbed to the top after winning their second match of the season during day number-three of the National Football League.

The Wolues also copped their first points of the season during one of the three games played during day-three of the competition.

The Wolues had a 3-0 lead within the first 40 minutes of their Virgin Gorda match against Old Madrid. Phillip Nelson scored first for the Wolues in the 11th minute then Mark Gardner scored the other two goals in the 33rd and 37th minute.

Kenmore Peters pulled one back for Old Madrid in the 45th minute before Christopher Farmer and Christopher Smith of the Wolues put the result beyond doubt, scoring in the 60th and 82nd minute, respectively.

Nelson would then added another in the 87th minute to put the icing on the cake, making it a 6-1 victory for the Wolues.

Back on the A.O. Shirley Ground, the Panthers took on the Rebels and came out with all three points, winning 3-1 in a feisty game that saw no less than eight bookings.

All the goals came in the second half with Shannon Lawrence opening the scoring in the 53rd minute, Prevell Asson doubling the lead in the 72nd, Michael Baptichon pulling one back for the Rebels from the penalty spot in the 73rd.

Wayne Phillip then wrapped things up for the Panthers in the 81st minute.

Back on Virgin Gorda, the final game saw a Carl Stewart hattrick, and a brace from Richard Morgan condemned FC Sea Argo to another heavy 5-1 defeat. This was despite him staying in the game until almost half-time when Stewart scored the first of his three goals in the 38th minute.

Janel Ferdinand, also from the spot in the 21st minute, had canceled out Morgan’s penalty in the 11th minute.

Stewart would add further goals in the 49th and 77th minutes, either side of Morgan’s second in the 54th.
