Police have named the taxi operator who BVI News Online earlier reported was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of consent (16 years).

Akeem Jamaal Sebastian, 32, was arrested and charged on February 2.

He is a resident of Long Bush, Tortola.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, in its weekly Arrest Blotter, did not outline the allegations.

However, Sebastian will be able to respond to the allegations when he appears in court.
