POLICE: Who is this man?

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today released photos of a suspected gunman as it tries to make a breakthrough in its investigation of an armed robbery at Dawson’s Superette in Long Bush, Tortola, on March 30.

The photos first emerged from unknown sources on the day of the robbery.

The RVIPF, in a media release this morning, said: “The Criminal Investigations Department is hoping that the public can help in identifying the individual in these photos as it continues to investigate the armed robbery…”

“The department sought and was given permission to release the photos. Persons are encouraged to come forward and help to identify the individual,” the RVIPF further said.

It stated that initial inquiries indicate that one armed man in mask entered Dawson’s Superette, demanded money, and made off with “a small amount” of cash on March 30.

“Persons with information can contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or the Criminal Investigations Department through the RVIPF three-digit access number 311,” the police force further said.
