Power outage scheduled on Tortola today – BVIEC

The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) has scheduled an outage in select areas on the island of Tortola on Saturday, January 6.

The power outage will last from 2pm to 6pm.

Residents living in Long Swamp to Fahie Hill along the Ridge Road will be affected.

“The purpose of this outage is for maintenance of the high voltage system,” the BVIEC said in a media release this afternoon.

“The corporation regrets any inconvenience caused,” it added.

    With this outrage notices, I now believe the BVIEC is on it’s way for greater and better service.
    Informing the public on outage schedule is very important. A matter of fact that how advance countries does it.
    Don’t just turn it off; keep up the good works and added improvement.
