RiteWay announces price cuts in excess of $1.5M
As part of its ongoing commitment to provide more affordable shopping options for customers, Road Town Wholesale (RTW) today announced plans to reduce retail and wholesale prices on hundreds of food and everyday household items in all its retail outlets.
RTW has seven RiteWay Food Markets retail outlets, two Cash and Carry, and one wholesale operation serving the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
The establishment, which was acquired recently by North West Company out of Canada, said the total amount of savings being passed on to consumers is in excess of $1.5 million.
It also declared that it intends to attract residents who usually go outside the BVI for cheaper goods.
“Customers can expect to see savings on key grocery, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, water, and many other items in our stores over the next couple of weeks,” stated Guy Strickland, Managing Director at RTW.
“This follows through on our commitment to make retail and wholesale products more affordable for our customers, and to attract retail spending that is taking place outside of the BVI.”
“Thanks to improvements in our distribution channel and the sourcing of products at better prices, we are able to pass along savings in excess of $1.5 million to our customers,” added Strickland.
Meanwhile, Elvis Pusey, Head of Purchasing at RTW, said more price reductions are in the offing.
“Our prices will be getting better every day! Over the past several months, our team of dedicated RTW buyers has worked hard to save money for our customers. Our team is excited about passing on these savings to our customers.”
RTW added that, “over the next two weeks, price reductions will be easily identifiable with new signage highlighting cost savings throughout stores”.
