A man and a minor are feared dead while an adult female is at Peebles Hospital nursing gunshot wounds.
All three reportedly sustained injuries during a shooting on Wednesday night (November 22).
Sources said the trio was brought to hospital around 10pm, causing the medical facility to be placed under yet another emergency lockdown.
Details on Wednesday’s shooting are still not clear. But BVI News understands that the three victims were in a rental vehicle heading to West End on Tortola some minutes before 10pm.
Sources told our news centre that assailants rode up on a motor scooter and began shooting at the vehicle. Police were summoned and the three were taken to the hospital.
The incident marks the second time this week that the hospital was placed on lockdown in relation to a shooting.
The first hospital lockdown happened on Monday evening around 8 o’clock.
Sources said the state-owned medical facility was heavily guarded by police on both occasions.
More information to be provided when it becomes available.
