UPDATE: Tall gunman takes nearly $1K

The gunman who robbed The Struggling Man’s Place in Sea Cows Bay last evening escaped on foot in the area, BVI News Online has confirmed.

There is also confirmation that he took approximately $1,000 from the establishment, where a restaurant and bar are operated.

The gunman, who is described as tall, was wearing a pair of gloves. His face was covered.

Reports are that he went into the kitchen at Struggling Man’s Place, brandished a gun, and demanded money from the female manager.

After he collected the cash and disappeared in the area, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force was called in. Cops went to the robbery scene last evening, August 2, and are continuing their investigation.
