VG records first robbery for 2017
The island of Virgin Gorda has recorded its first robbery since the start of 2017, BVI News Online has confirmed.
Reports are that a woman was conducting business late last week on a porch outside Dixie’s Bar and Restaurant in the Valley.
A young man with covered face emerged from behind the business establishment and ordered the woman to hand over the money she had in her possession.
He then grabbed a container with money and escaped from the area.
The robber allegedly had an object.
Police on Virgin Gorda later took a young male resident of the Valley into custody regarding the incident, but he has been released without charge.
