Mid table action in the Men’s National Football League kicked it up a notch over the weekend (December 3 and 4) with the Panthers recording their first win of the season, and Old Madrid and the Wolues both beaten.

The Rebels on Saturday secured a 3-0 win over Virgin Gorda United, with a goal from Atebe Creese in the 48th minute, and two goals from Elijah Toulan in the 57th and 66th minutes.

Virgin Gorda United – as in their previous game – were good value for a 0-0 scoreline up to half time.

In another game, The Panthers recorded their first win of the season and handed Old Madrid a second successive defeat (2-0).

The goals came from Garnet Ferron and Jaleel Rodriquez.

The Wolues, who would have been replaced in the top four had Old Madrid beaten the Panthers, did little to help their own cause.

They were defeated 3-0 by the Sugar Boyz, courtesy of Deron Daniel (43rd minute), Michael Castillo (49th minute), and Allon Williams (52nd).
