A woman from Meyers Estate on Tortola has been charged in relation to the death of Julian Turnbull.

Lorraine Ryder-Wollner is to answer to a charge of causing death by reckless driving.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said the woman was arrested and charged on March 30.

Ryder-Wollner, who was granted bail when she appeared in the Magistrate’s Court, is to return to court next month.

As was reported by BVI News Online roughly a year ago, Turnbull, 52, was struck while he used the Mayaba roadway on March 3, 2016.

At the time, the RVIPF said members of its Road Policing Unit went to scene and found Turnbull motionless along the roadway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RVIPF, at the time, also stated that the female driver of the vehicle in question was assisting police officers who were investigating the case.
