$100K reward | Trinity, Penn probably not intended targets

Crime scene investigators.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is now offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the killers responsible for the murder of young Trinity Moses and Franklyn Penn, who police say may not have been the targets when they were gunned down nearly six months ago.

Lead detective Inspector Joe Goff said police has made no headway in the murder investigation, nor have they established a motive for the murders.

“Pursuing lines of inquiry can be doubly difficult when the assailants in a murder case cannot be linked to the victims or the intended targets. We need members of the public to come forward and shed some light on who may have been the intended target and why,” Inspector Goff said.

“We have families still so broken, unable to make sense of what has happened. Not only is Trinity’s family distraught, but her young classmates and playmates are distressed as they are forced to interpret a very different world where they can lose their lives without justification, justice, or protection from our society.”

He continued: “Similar, Franklyn Penn’s family has had to deal with not one but multiple deaths in that family to include the murder of Alston Penn in March of the same year. These families and our children particularly need to feel secure again. They need and deserve to know why their love ones were so violently taken.”

Reward

Police are, therefore, offering the $100,000 sum to any person with information that leads to the identity and charges against the Penn and 11-year-old Trinity’s killers.

Law enforcers said a portion of the reward money may be provided to a person with information that is considered ‘valuable to the investigation’.

The National Security Council recently approved for the reward to be established, police added.

Persons can contact a member of the Major Crime Team at (284) 368-9342 or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at (284) 368-9339.

“All information will be held in the strictest confidence,” said the RVIPF.

  1. Justice Please says:

All i can do is pray for these two innocent souls that were taken from us. A pleasant and always helpful young man and a loving child with a smile that could warm the coldest of heart. I pray that those who know who know the individuals who were involved would PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come forward. Help the families,co-workers,friends, teachers & classmates to find the answers that they are seeking. Even if they were not the intended targets they still need justice in their names. If the killers could have pulled up to that jeep not knowing who was inside and just shower that jeep in bullets, what’s stopping them from doing that to someone else?

    • Gumption. Official says:

I wish people was actually physically serious in stand up/speaking out on issues like this. Sad how many people actually support and endorse criminals; but hay if the Criminals keeping them LIT as them say (dem is the realest alive) – until people makes it personal; Social issues wouldn’t bother them.

      • To Gumption says:

Well some of us are trying to stay positive and hoping for a breakthrough in the case. If we hold our heads down in despair then all hope would be lost.
