16-y-o student reportedly mixed up in iSmart burglary
A 16-year-old has been implicated in the April 2018 burglary of iSmart in Road Town.
Following investigations, police reportedly charged the Elmore Stoutt High School student with burglary.
Information to our news centre is that police suspect the teen was among the three masked males who were seen on CCTV footage burglarizing the electronic store on the day in question.
It is said the assailants used a bolt cutter to cut the locks, break the glass door, and enter the building.
The assailants, who used T-shirts to mask their identities, reportedly made off with a number of electronic items and an unspecified amount of cash.
It is not clear when the youngster in question will appear in court to answer to the burglary charge.
The teen’s name will not be published since he is a minor.
In a police media release issued immediately after the April burglary, police had said the assailants were reselling the stolen items for cheap.
There have been a series of break-ins across the territory in recent times and the accused teen is one of several arrests law enforcers have made in connection with these reported crimes.

16 year old is not a minor….that’s the problem with our community we keep on encouraging our big hard back young men in our homes petting them up…. He is already a grown man….
Of course
Son of a you know what.
Son of who?
$3.00 (this is all I can afford to lose) that none of them are black males with one or both parents originating from the upper caribbean.
Does that really matter? All of our youth are in trouble. When are we going to stop the blame game and realize that at heart we are all responsible.
If that makes you feel better, then continue the fatal charade and the typical attempt of shifting personal responsibility.
In the meantime, ” wager” lost the bet.
when NDP come out…. them shudda keep the bush jobs
Open comment: Caribbean parents are amazing at saying (their children are surrounding or following bad company; yet often their own children is the head master in the bad things they do).
Agin that’s an open comment. Some parents are just a bad/sad and ugly examples for their children. Parents please step up – again your daughter or son might not be following the wrong people their just might be the leader. Talk with your children or continue to read about them in a negative way online….
