BVI about to go to the next level

A section of the main island of Tortola.

Despite cries from Opposition members and some residents that the government needs to do more in all areas of the territory, Premier Dr Natalio Wheatley has expressed that the BVI is getting ready to go to the next level of success.

The Wheatley administration took office amid infrastructure woes exacerbated by yearly natural disasters, tensions between the UK and elected leaders, and a slew of global challenges hammering the territory’s reputation as a financial services powerhouse.

Amid criticisms that his government often has misplaced priorities, Premier Wheatley said he remains optimistic about the territory’s prospects.

“I remain optimistic about my BVI, you’re not going to see me preaching a message of doom and gloom — not when we have so many talented people, [and a] beautiful environment; not when we have so many God-fearing, praying people in the BVI. I’m not going to paint a picture that it’s all over. The BVI is about to go to the next level of success,” the leader told the House of Assembly recently. “What we need is persons who can see the vision, embrace the vision and execute the vision.”

While some have said the delays in the territory’s development are partly caused by the Premier’s unwillingness to overrule senior permanent secretaries in various ministries, the leader told the House of Assembly that he will not blame civil servants for any shortcomings.

Rather, he said he will continue to communicate his vision to public officers who oversee the operations of the government.

“Persons speak about civil servants, I’m not going to blame civil servants for anything. I’m going to work harder to communicate and articulate the vision to all the people including the public officers and ask them to grasp and embrace the vision a reality,” Premier Wheatley said.

    Delusional Natalio at it again.

    “Next level”

Look around Natalio, the territory looks like Irma and Maria happened yesterday.

We can’t fix the road, we can’t fix the hospital, we can’t fix the education system. The airport and ferry terminals are absolute crap.

And this guy speaks about the next level.

Natalio, get the basics right and only then open your mouth.

You have been talking without any action for 5 years now, get going now and shut up.

“What we need is persons who can see the vision, embrace the vision and execute the vision.” I wholeheartedly agree with this perspective Mr Premier, but sadly with you at the helm, this seems like another pipe dream.

The BVI is on a slippery slope and your administration is still sleeping like the 3 little pigs whilst Golidlocs runs away with their food. We are being left behind in almost every sector of the game when we should be at the top. Please stop the yapping to the media and get down to the serious work of rebuilding our nation. Every area of the country needs some form of rehabilitation work, Hospital/Health care is needs more care than the patients themselves, education is at an all-time low, Tourism is still a fickle business and we are still standing on ceremony relying on Financial services to drag us through to survival mode. We are NOT where we need to be Sir!! We should not be surviving, We should be thriving especially given the robust economy you all keep trying to make us swallow.

Do what you guys said you would do, lead the country not traverse the nation, fix problems, not add to them and truly show love for the country not just when it makes the headlines. WAKE UP!!

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the Government can shield the people from the political and/or economic consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the Government to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the Government.

Well, that ain’t you brother, on any level!

From you, and your ‘team’, there are absolutely no vision/s to embrace and most certainly no plan/s to execute! So please, please, please, follow your own advice, do the country a favour, step down, and move on!

    Next level?!!!!! LOL! 😉

Having spent the last 8 years sliding down hill there is probably only one direction now to travel unfortunately I fail to see are own current HOA being able even to locate the foot of the long ladder we have to climb to merely recover our previous standard of living.

  8. Nothing says:

is level or flat in the BVI except Anegada. Decline, decline seems to be the only direction the VIP majority can travel on their downward spiral towards another Haiti disaster in the northern Caribean.

  9. OneTwoThree says:

Mr Premier, take a step at a time and you may eventually reach Sage Mountain!

  10. Ok then says:

So the Premier is finally saying that he is on a different level to the rest of the BVI. So it seems like he is hell bent on taking us to a lower level (next level)
