Three males from the island of Jost Van Dyke were charged with drug offences yesterday following a police operation in the Sea Cows Bay area of Tortola the previous night.

They have been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

They are 28-year-old Dwayne Borris Donovan, 27-year-old Shomarie Jahmeed Chinnery, and 27-year-old Rubbie Pickering.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said its officers – along with others from the Cayman Islands, United Kingdom and Bermuda – stopped and searched a vehicle during curfew hours. That’s when they allegedly ‘found a large quantity of both drugs and cash’.

The cash and drugs, which were confiscated, are still part of a police probe, the RVIPF said.
