$50k worth of tech items stolen – Bishop Cline laments

Bishop John Cline.

Bishop John Cline has revealed that roughly $50,000 worth of inventory was stolen from his tech store, Infinite Solutions, as looters continue their prowl on several business establishments in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

“Probably a good $50,000 worth of inventory have been taken from our store,” the clergyman told BVI News over the weekend.

“They took just about everything they needed; computers, laptops, cell phones, televisions, whatever they could find.”

Bishop Cline noted that after the hurricane he made efforts to have someone secure the store, but was unsuccessful.

“I tried to send security there but the security is scared of some of the people that are coming, so they just left. The people just walked in, took what they wanted and left,” he lamented.

Police Commissioner Michael Matthews has threatened to catch and punish persons engaging in the looting of business establishments which began after Hurricane Irma struck on September 6.

Several business establishments were damaged during the hurricane.

A heavy contingent of police and other security personnel were brought into the territory to help restore law and order.
