60-yr-old shot after challenging thieves
BVI News understands that a 60-year-old man was recently shot and injured by three men who allegedly attempted to steal his vehicle.
Our news centre was told that the Jamaican man was inside his place of residence when he heard noise coming from the area where his vehicle was parked.
Highly placed sources told our news centre that when he went outside to check, he saw three men trying to enter his vehicle. It’s alleged that the victim approached the men and tried to persuade them to leave his premises.
It’s understood that one of the assailants pulled a gun and fired several shots.
They fled the scene shortly after.
The victim later discovered that he was shot in his foot. The police were summoned and the victim received medical attention. However, his current condition is unknown.
In the meantime, our news centre was not able to confirm whether the men succeeded in stealing the vehicle and whether they have been apprehended by the police.

Stop thinking it will stay between a certain set of characters…. as a community we are watching the small flame grow but it hasnt burned down the house yet.
Where are they going to take a stolen car, perhaps to commit a murder or robbery? Maybe the rental companies arent good for them anymore & they dont want to be seen on a scooter.
