Governor confirms | Assistant Commissioner Trevillion resigns

Assistant Police Commissioner Pam Trevillion.

Governor Daniel Pruce confirmed on Friday, February 14, that Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Pam Trevillion has tendered her resignation from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

In a statement from his office, Pruce noted that Trevillion submitted her resignation on Saturday, February 8, and will officially leave the force on March 8, 2025.

Her resignation follows reports of tension within the RVIPF’s leadership.

Earlier this week, the RVIPF addressed a local media report alleging that Trevillion had assaulted Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool. The article claimed an “altercation” took place, resulting in Trevillion being placed on leave.

While the RVIPF dismissed the allegation, noting that “there was no physical confrontation”, the police did not deny that there was an altercation of some kind. They described it as an “internal matter”.

“The RVIPF acknowledges inquiries regarding an internal matter involving ACP Pam Trevillion. ACP Trevillion was on leave but has since returned to duty. The matter was appropriately addressed in accordance with RVIPF protocols. As this was an internal matter, no further comment will be provided,” the statement read.

The reason for Trevillion’s sudden resignation has not been disclosed, and the RVIPF has maintained that it will not comment further on the issue.

I doubt that Cindy has ever been right about anything.

      • Jussi says:

Internal? Where is the PSC in this? If that was a PC to a Sgt the office of Professional Standards would have been involved to investigate. Didn’t we recently have a matter involving two female officers? So why is this being swept under the rug? What is the mechanism for an investigation into these gazette personnel? Is the resignation a glossing over cover up of the matter? Therefore a clean record is maintained? Does this not bring the force into disrepute?

This country is that of the UK.
You will know it is yours when the UK tells you that it is yours as you watch it’s remnants that you created in your image trickle in the sewage that you created.

Dont know reason nor the melee but darn certain that the UK lady was fighting against crime and criminals but the village woman was looking out for the protection of her village criminals and the status quo of DoNotDisturb.

  12. @Time and Twine says:

Do know that the so called ownership you mentioned is not legitimate ownership at all, but the results of warring, exterminating entire peoples, and tribes and implementing a doctrine called COLONIALISM.

Those do not stand the test of legitimate ownership. If that was the case, the islands would have no such avenues as INDEPENDENCE available to them.

Those who know how, teach. Those who are historically ignorant, biased, prejudiced or racist speak foolishness.

Go ask Ms. Mottley a question about colonialism v. Independence and get a schooling in the process

  13. We Deserve Better says:

If there wasn’t an altercation, why the ACP’s departure? Is it that the COP lied or was it a shouting match infected with disrespect? The paying public deserves the right to know exactly what transpired.
