Additional funding of more than half-a-million dollars is being donated to the Bregado Flax Educational Centre, Secondary Division.

Minister of Education Myron Walywyn announced telecommunications provider Flow as the organisation donating the funds to the hurricane-battered school.

“We just came to another agreement where Flow will be donating another $540,000, which will go towards Bregado Flax Educational Centre, Secondary Division,” Walwyn said on social media site Facebook yesterday.

Just this week, non-profit group Unite BVI pledged $1 million to the said educational facility.

Walwyn said the funds will be used to repair the school’s roof and do other remedial work and cosmetic upgrades to the facility.

Students at Virgin Gorda-based secondary school are currently being schooled under a relatively small and temporary structure.

The yellow site won’t publish this. Anything that makes Myron and NDP look good, they won’t write about.

As they do something bad, it’s breaking news. When will they be unbiased?

I was talking to a friend about this a few hours ago.

  2. ESHS says:

All well and good but what about ESHS? Doesn’t look like anyone has any plans to do anything.

  3. LOL says:

so Flow only has customers in Virgin Gorda? How come all these donations are only going over there – meanwhile ESHS is a mess.

  4. Watcher says:

They want to keep providing the worlds worst and most expensive telephone and internet service and half a million is peanuts if they can.
