Sections of Tortola have been left flooded following torrential rainfall this morning, November 6.
Flood waters washed over parts of Fish Bay and neighbouring areas.
The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) said residents can expect continued showers and thunderstorms across the territory during the next 24 hours.
“Late Tuesday, another trough system will move across the area and is expected to generate similar weather conditions. Otherwise mostly dry weather will prevail with at most a moderate chance of showers,” the DDM said.
The British Virgin Islands (BVI) has been experiencing a series of flooding this year, with the first major one happening during a tropical wave in August.
The territory received some 17 inches of rainfall during that weather event.
