Another traffic fatality on a sister island
Another traffic fatality has been recorded in the British Virgin Islands for 2018.
A man was killed in a traffic accident on the island Jost Van Dyke on Wednesday afternoon, February 7.
Police said the unidentified crash victim was involved in a single-vehicle collision.
“The collision took place on the road that leads to the island’s dumpsite,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
The man’s death is at least the second traffic fatality on a sister island since the start of the year.
A man died in a motor scooter accident on the island of Anegada nearly two weeks ago.

Very sad indeed.
A very sad day….he was a god driver and a hard worker. but this vehicle had mechanical issues which a particular company refused to attend to…he tried to jump to escape but in the end it did not matter….where is Health and Safety for people in the BVI…a preventable death.
I am sorry to read this, but why was he driving a vehicle with alleged “mechanical issues …?”
