Arrest Blotter: 7 arrested

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is reporting seven arrests between June 17 and 23.

The accused persons were implicated for a number of reported charges ranging from drug offences to robbery, among other things.

In its latest arrest blotter, the RVIPF listed those persons and their charges as follows:

Driving without driver’s license

On June 27, police arrested and charged Owen Williams of Sea Cows Bay for the offences of driving without a driver’s license, driving an unlicensed vehicle, driving without a policy of insurance, and failing to stop at the sound of a police siren. He was granted bail to appear in the Magistrate’s court on September 3.

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

On June 25, police arrested and charged Kevin Smith of East End for assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was granted bail to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on August 25.

Robbery

On the same day, police arrested and charged Donald Hanley of the Valley Virgin Gorda, for robbery.

Illegal entry

Police also arrested and charged Norris Dickson of Lower Hope Hill for failing to declare monies to Customs and possession of proceeds of criminal conduct. He was also arrested on June 29.

Criminal damage

Police arrested and charged Franklyn Malone of Copper Mine, The Valley in Virgin Gorda on June 29. He was charged with criminal damage. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance before Magistrate’s Court on September 9.

Escaping lawful custody

On June 30, police arrested and charged 28-year-old Mikhail Howe of Cane Garden Bay for escaping lawful custody.

Theft

On the same day, police arrested and charged 24-year-old Shedron Richardson of Hope Hill on two counts of theft. Richardson was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 signed surety to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on September 3.
