Arrest Blotter: Drugs, theft, wounding among charges
Eight persons have been charged with various offences between April 28 and May 5.
The charges range from traffic-related offences to wounding police, theft, and drug offences.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, in its weekly Arrest Blotter, listed those persons and charges as follows:
Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
On April 29, Jahnoy Walters of Purcell Estate was arrested and charged with assault, occasioning actual bodily harm and escaping lawful custody.
Driving without a driver’s license
On May 1, Alton Pond of Belle Vue was arrested and charged with driving without a driver’s license and driving an unlicensed and an uninsured vehicle.
On the same day, police arrested and charged Dominic Penn of Baugher’s Bay.
He was uninsured and driving without a driver’s license, police said.
On May 2, police arrested and charged Kimron Jackson of Duff’s Bottom for driving without a driver’s license, driving an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle and using a license plate on the motor vehicle to which it was not assigned.
On May 3, Juwan Richardson of East End was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, driving without a driver’s license and driving when not covered by insurance.
Wounding police
On May 1, police arrested and charged 30-year-old Kenai Adair Jacobs of Long Look for wounding, throwing missiles, and using threatening language.
Theft
On the same day, May 1, police arrested and charged Ivan Govia for theft.
Unlawful possession of cannabis
On May 4, 29-year-old Dwayne Donovan of Jost Van Dyke was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.
