Arrest Blotter: Minors among 8 persons charged
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is reporting eight arrests between June 17 and 23.
The accused persons were implicated for a number of reported charges ranging from drug offences to robbery, among other things.
In its latest arrest blotter, the RVIPF listed those persons and their charges as follows:
Assault on police
On June 17, police arrested and charged 44-year-old Conrad Lewis of Carrot Bay for assault on police, resisting arrest, improper overtaking, and failing to keep to the left side of the road when turning.
Theft
Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old male of Lower Estate on June 19 for theft. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,000 for appearance before Magistrate’s Court on July 13.
Unlawful possession of cannabis
On June 20, police arrested and charged 19-year-old Kiara Huggins and a 14-year-old male – both of Hodges Creek. Police also arrested 20-year-old Bradley Bell of Frenchman’s Cay that day for the same offence.
Two days later, police arrested and charged Charles Rochester, Jr of Baughers Bay for unlawful possession of cannabis, driving when not secured by a seatbelt, and tinted windows. Rochester was granted bail for his appearance before Magistrate’s Court on September 3.
On the same day, police arrested and charged Tiejie Henley of Little Hill for unlawful possession of cannabis and riding as a passenger when not secured by a seatbelt.
Henley was granted bail for his appearance before Magistrate’s Court on September 3.
Robbery
On June 20, police arrest and charged Mervin Flaherty, Jr of McNamara for robbery.
