Arrest Blotter: Several major busts in last few weeks

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is reporting several arrests between July 29 and August 11.

The accused persons were implicated for a number of reported charges ranging from attempted abduction, burglary, illegal entry, among other things.

In its latest arrest blotter, the RVIPF listed those persons and their charges as follows:

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

On August 4, police arrested and charged Orland Ceasar of Main Street for assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was granted bail and is to appear at Magistrate’s Court in John’s Hole on September 21.

Attempted abduction

On August 6, police arrested and charged Alanah Chalwell of East End for abduction with intent to convey within the territory, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Alanah appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on August 9 and was ordered remanded.

Police also arrested and charged Nyall Giovanni George of Old Plantation for the same offences. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on August 9 and was remanded.

Burglary

Travis Osborne of Carrot Bay was arrested and charged for burglary on July 31. He has been granted bail to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on September 14.

Common assault

Damien Morgan was arrested and charged for common assault for August 6. He was granted bail to appear at the Magistrate’s Court in John’s Hole on September 21.

Illegal entry

On July 31, La’Lique N Lockhart of St Croix was arrested and charged for illegal entry. She appeared at the Magistrate’s Court and has since been deported.

Firearm offences

On August 2, Jamori Hart of Parham Town was arrested and charged for keeping an unlicensed firearm and two counts of unlawful possession of explosives. Hart appeared at the Magistrate’s Court on August 10 and was remanded.

Dion Thomas of Hannah’s Estate was also arrested and charged for carrying an unlicensed firearm, two counts of unlawful possession of explosives, and unlawful possession of cannabis. Thomas appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on August 9 and was ordered remanded.

Unlawful possession of a controlled drug

On August 5, Corey Butler of Carrot Bay and Rosella Ottley of Pasea Estate were arrested and charged for possession of cannabis. They were granted bail to appear at the Magistrate’s Court in John’s Hole on September 21.

Kadeem Jimenez of East End was also arrested and charged for unlawful possession of cannabis on August 8. Jimenez was granted bail to appear at the Magistrate’s Court, September 28.

Eversley Barker of Purcell Estate was arrested and charged for unlawful possession of cannabis on August 3. Barker is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on September 7.
