Avanell Morton elected as new President of the BVIFA

The new elected president of the BVI Football Association (BVIFA), Avanell Morton.

The BVI Football Association (BVIFA) held its biennial general election this week, where Avanell Morton was elected as the new President of the BVIFA.

Morton, who formerly served as Vice-President, replaced Andy Bickerton, who resigned as BVIFA President in December 2022. Aubrey Liburd had been serving as interim President since that time.

Morton became the new head of the BVIFA after defeating the other presidential candidate, Humphrey Leue.

Andy Davis and Lorelle Abrams were elected vice presidents, while Kenrick Grant retained his position as treasurer for a second term.

Craig Grant will serve a third term as an executive member, while Priya Mohammed and Wendell Nickons begin their first term as executive members.

The BVIFA is the official regulatory body for football in the British Virgin Islands. It has been in existence since 1974.
