The BVI Airport Authority has announced that night operations have resumed at the Terrence B Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island.
The airport will now be opened from 7 o’clock in the morning to 9pm daily.
The move to resume night-time operations came after lights were restored at the facility.
“Opening was facilitated by the reinstallation of guidance, circling, and obstruction lights that were damaged during the passage of Irma and Maria,” the BVI Airport Authority said in a media release yesterday.
While the hours at the airport have been extended, the BVI Airport Authority said persons should still brace for challenges.
“The support and patience of the public is hereby solicited, as there may be times of un-serviceability as we continuously make changes to and upgrade our systems to better serve you.”
