Belle Vue man arrested for assaulting girlfriend
BVI News understands that a man from the Belle Vue community was recently arrested and charged for assaulting his girlfriend after seeing her in the company of another man.
It is reported that the victim was at her abuser’s house when she informed him that she was ready to leave. After leaving, she was allegedly picked up by a male friend who later transported her to her residence.
According to our sources, upon arrival, the two were talking outside the woman’s house when her boyfriend approached and began hitting her. It is reported that he punched her in the face and dragged her inside the house, where he continued to abuse her.
It is unclear whether the woman’s male friend was harmed during the encounter. However, the police were contacted, and the abuser was subsequently arrested and charged. The woman reportedly sought medical attention but informed the authorities that she did not want to pursue the matter in court.
At this time, BVI News has not been able to ascertain whether the abuser was granted bail or whether he will appear in court to answer the charges against him.
