Body of Caucasian male retrieved from sea after vehicle accident
Emergency services officers recovered the body of a Caucasian male from the waters adjacent to Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital in Road Town this morning, on Saturday, October 7th.
While the identity of the body found has not yet been confirmed, BVI News has learned that the reported victim is believed to be a member of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
According to reliable sources, emergency services personnel rushed to the scene following reports of a vehicle plunging into the sea.
In a search and rescue operation that lasted several minutes, a fire officer, a police officer, and a civilian successfully retrieved the body from the submerged vehicle.
The individual was found unresponsive, and there is no indication that he survived the incident.
At this time, it remains unclear what led to the vehicle ending up in the sea or whether the victim was the one operating the vehicle at the time of the accident.
BVI News will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

One of the news sites stated that the male is a UK Detective.
Suicide?
I am truly disgusted and embarrassed at the vile and heartless things that is being said about the police officer that lost his life. No one knows what happened, anything could have happened. Have some respect for the man’s family.
Hope the UK investigate whether this was a hit to cover up what has been discovered so far, to stop the UK Officer from testifying, as well as retaliation.
Investigate john ranking and mark Collins
Picture please.
It was disappointing to see J_ _ post the deceased. Social media is all for views and likes with no consideration for the family of the gentleman.
He is named as a UK detective .
Einstein just rattled the hornets nest. Please give a warm welcome back to the brits with big guns.
Scotland Yard Interpol FBi..everybody, hurry come
Maybe now the emergency measures the Commissioner
recommended can be implemented without hold back by the local elected.
The medical examiners report forthcoming soon hopefully. If there is physicalal evidence of murder, then we will know sooner.
My not wanting to believe he was killed in the car and then the body & car pushed is a tough effort.
This is seeeereeeous international spotlight for B VI .
“Waters adjacent to the D Orlando Smith Hospital”
There is no such location.
The Hospital is on a hillside and no rivers/streams are in the hillsides of the BVI.
The name of the deceased is listed but no photo. In my opinion a photo would go a long way in revealing whereabouts and observation of the deceased prior to his unfortunate demise from fresh memories willing to cone forward but, this is typical of the VI and its routine coverups and protection of its criminals.
YPU people are so STUPID with the comments some of you insist of writing.
The next time we have a death reported, will this “news” site post the identity of the person being black?
Kinda racist. But it fits
If indeed foul play was involved, Tortola, get ready for a major backlash. The whole thing looks suspicious. A seasoned investigator and the medical examiner knows what to look for in the event that foul play took place.
The people in the BVI just exposed how evil they truly are. What is the need for all the vile, derogatory comments? The officer has a family and loved ones and the insensitive comments is very hurtful.STRIKE ONE, the Hurricanes that almost took us out. STRIKE TWO, the flooding that almost took us out and we still have yet to learn our lesson. Refrain from the evil towards each other that is consuming the place. WHEN STRIKE THREE HIT, everyone no matter who you are or status, everyone is going to be in the same crowded boat fighting for a life vest.
Scotland Yard is airborne or has already touch down in the BVI. If this was indeed foul play, there is going to be a major impact on the BVI that is going to affect everyone.
The streets are saying it was foul play and to check all the criminal activities that is going on in the territory. Some say it Leads back to a few guest staying at the prison. Seek and destroy all the illegal cell phones that is being used by some of the guest in the prison.
If it was a staged “accident” the criminals would want it to appear as suicide but the UK detectives would find the truth!
Investigate the police officers including former Dep Comm and fired cops, Customs, Immigration, Airport Officers (one of the perps arrested Friday apparently works at the Airport)
YES, YES AND A BIG YES. THE HORNETS NEST WAS RATTLED. IF PROVEN THE OFFICER FELL PREY BY FOUL PLAY ON BVI SOIL, THERE IS GOING TO BE SOME SERIOUS BACKLASH. WE ARE ALREADY UNDER A BI-FOCAL MICROSCOPE WHERE ANTS LOOKS THE SIZE OF A FULL CAT.
for lockdown this week!!!
Was he in the driver’s seat and was he wearing a seat belt? This will give you an idea of what you are looking for.
A whole lot of things is going to come out on the surface and a lot of people is going to be exposed from top to bottom if indeed………..
coming soon to take over this place
If the Brits come in with the big guns like some is saying, it won’t bother me. It would bring a sense of safety.
Respect to this man & his grieving family.
Respect to all who seek to serve their fellow man, so that we can all live in peace with each other.
Please let us support love & truth in all its forms.
If foul pay is afoot, please stand together for justice.
The strength of the BVI lies in its morals & sense of community. Let us maintain that as strong as ever.
