PEOPLE, WORD TO THE WISE, “STOP SAILING ON THESE SMALL BOATS WITHOUT LIFE VEST.”
THESE TRAGEDIES HAPPEN SO OFTEN AND PEOPLE STILL AIN’T GETTING IT.
IT’S ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.
PRAY THERE WERE MO CHILDREN INVOLVED.
Check your spelling…your post said you hoped that there were MO children involved, when you probably meant NO..
That said, I completely that personal flotation devices (aka life jackets) be worn, especially since most people here don’t know how to swim. That in itself is tragic since we are surrounded by water. Swimming should be part of the school curriculum.
The pot is calling the bottom of the kettle black. Check the first sentence in your second paragraph and tell us what you really mean.
Check the last word in your sentence, it should have been meant…lol
errors can happen to anyone. life is not perfect..
You forgot to add the word “agree”. Haha
“That said, I completely [agree] that personal flotation …”
That is so sad to hear this Friday afternoon. My condolences to the family.
She is from Dominican Republic
What dat mean?
It means she a b$$ sniffer
I dislike when our waters tragically take a life.
Big man slaughter charge but never going hold the right one
As a general precaution, boaters should pay attention to weather conditions before deciding to ply the seas. Second, crew and passengers should don life-preservers , especially non swimmers . Third, this is optional but a float plan should be filed with ViSAR , etc.
The word on the street is that the woman was a victim of people-smuggling. That’s why the boat was traveling in the night, that’s why the man (the criminal smuggling her) made his escape. This is going on all around us – people smuggling is now the fourth pillar of the BVI economy. This poor lady was likely promised a better life abroad, and then ended up being forced into prostitution under threat of violence.
If they don’t ever find the man who made the distress call this whole thing fishy.
Note the, absence of a description or photo of the boat.
This is how we do it. Crooked bad.
